Frequently Asked Questions
Can any items remain in the drawers of my furniture?
The only items that you should leave in your dresser or bureau
drawers are clothing and linens. We ask that you remove all fragile, valuable, or heavy items and anything that can move around in transit and pack them in the appropriate boxes.
Can you move house plants?
Yes, in most cases, your plants can be moved by our crew.
You just want to make sure that you stop watering them
3 days prior to your moving day, so that they do not drip
in the moving van and damage any of your other belongings.
Can
you disconnect my appliances for moving?
With any electrical connections, we will be more than happy
to assist you. However, with any gas or water lines you
should consult your local utilities company. This is to
insure the safety of everyone participating in your move.
Are
the any items that you cannot move?
Yes, hazardous materials, as defined by
the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, are not accepted for
shipping. These items are combustible liquids, corrosives,
explosives, flammables and compressed gases. Such items as
charcoal, paints & paint thinners, batteries and rubbing
alcohol, just to name a few. Be sure and consult with us if
you have a question about any items.
Is it customary to tip
the crew?
Tipping is certainly not expected but appreciated. It is
per your satisfaction with a job well done when and how much
to tip your moving crew. If you are happy with the way your
move is handled and choose to show your appreciation to the
crew by tipping them, then please feel free to do so. |
